IPA Tasting Experience at Artisanal Brew Works

August 20 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
IPA tasting at Artisanal Brew Works in Saratoga Springs

IPA Tasting Saratoga Springs: A Guided Brewery Experience

If you’re looking for an IPA tasting Saratoga Springs craft beer fans can really dig into, join us at Artisanal Brew Works for a guided tasting that takes you behind the scenes of the brewing process. You’ll taste different versions of our IPA side by side while Kurt and/or Colin walk you through what we changed, why we changed it, and how those decisions affect the beer in your glass.

This isn’t a beer flight with a lecture. It’s a relaxed, interactive tasting designed for anyone who enjoys IPA and wants to learn a little more about what goes into creating one.

What You’ll Taste

You’ll receive a 16 oz can of each featured Saratoga Squeeze IPA, giving you enough beer to taste the different versions side by side and revisit them as we talk through the changes.

You’ll also taste two more Artisanal Brew Works IPAs: Daily Double, our New England Double IPA, and Derailleur, our award-winning American IPA. Together, the beers give you a chance to compare different approaches to brewing IPA — and decide which styles, flavors, and hop characteristics you prefer.

We’ll discuss some of the decisions that can dramatically change an IPA, including hop varieties, hop products, when hops are added, and other brewing techniques that influence aroma, flavor, bitterness, and mouthfeel.

IPA Tasting + Brewery Tour — $15

The complete experience is $15 per person and includes the guided IPA tasting plus a behind-the-scenes brewery tour. We’ll show you where the beer is made, talk about our brewing process and equipment, and answer questions along the way.

Two tasting sessions are available on Thursday, August 20, at 4 PM and 7 PM.

A Guided Tasting with the Brewers

This is your opportunity to go beyond simply drinking the finished beer. We’ll explain what we were trying to accomplish with each version, what we changed in the brewing process, and what we’re tasting in the finished beer.

Most importantly, we want to know what you think. Taste the beers, compare them, ask questions, and tell us which version you prefer.

No Beer Expertise Required

You don’t need to know the difference between whirlpool hops and dry hops to participate. If you enjoy craft beer and IPA, you’re qualified. We’ll keep the conversation approachable while still digging into the brewing details for anyone who wants to geek out with us.

Reservations Are Strongly Recommended

We have a limited amount of beer specifically for this tasting, so space is limited. Once the available tasting spots are spoken for, we won’t be able to add additional participants.

Call Artisanal Brew Works at 518-306-4344 to reserve your spot.

Come hungry if you’d like — our full food menu will be available before, during, and after the tasting.
